Sharon Sandberg, Assessor stated that the Tax Equalization and Review Committee did not call her to show cause regarding the values of the CRP and residences. She also said that the Property Tax Administrator has posted a list that shows the increases in values. This shows a significant increase in residential properties, but she explained that this is due to the fact that the ag land of small acreages that are classified as rural residential was previously listed under ag land values but has now been moved to the residential side. Therefore, it appears that residential values went up more than they actually did. She said that the only increases in residential values are from additions or improvements.

Faden made a motion to adjourn the Banner County Board of Equalization meeting at 8:45 a.m. Second by Post.  Roll call vote:  Post, yes; Gifford, yes; Faden, yes. The next meeting will be held in regular session on May 3, 2016 or at the call of the clerk.  A full agenda of the matters to be considered at such date and time is kept continually current and is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Banner County Clerk in the Courthouse in Harrisburg.
