Banner County Board of Equalization Proceedings
The Banner County Board of Equalization met in regular session, in the courtroom of the Banner County Courthouse on October 1, 2024. This is with accordance with the adjournment of the September 17, 2024, meeting and published in the Western Nebraska Observer, posting notices in Harrisburg, Nebraska at the Post Office, Banner County School, Clerk’s Office, and the front window of the Banner County Courthouse. Proof of publication is on file of the County Clerk and made part of the proceedings by reference.
The agenda for the meeting is kept current and is available during the regular business hours at the office of the County Clerk. A copy was emailed to each Board member on September 30, 2024.
Chairperson Darnall called the meeting to order at 8:43 A.M. on October 1, 2024. Katie West, County Clerk, did roll call. Roll call: Don Lease II, absent; Robin Darnall, present; and Laif Anderson, present. Chairperson Darnall stated the Nebraska Open Meeting Act is posted by the back door of the courtroom.
The consent agenda items were examined. Anderson moved to accept the agenda. Darnall seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Lease, absent; Darnall, yes; Anderson, yes. Motion carried. The minutes of the September 17, 2024, meeting were examined. Anderson moved to adopt the minutes of the September 17, 2024, meeting. Darnall seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Lease, absent; Darnall, yes; Anderson, yes. Motion carried. West presented the Board the Budget Forms for ESU 13 and WNCC.
Items of Business before the Board:
- Tax List Correction – Kacy Krakow – Krakow presented the tax list correction for the property 040008711-RE for the years of 2021, 2022, and 2023. The Board reviewed. Darnall moved to accept the tax list correction for Walter Stauffer on property 040008711-RE for three years. Anderson seconded the motion. Darnall amends the motion to accept the tax list correction for Walter Stauffer on property 040008711-RE for 20245 for $4.54, 20246 for $4.50, and 20247 for $4.86, authorizing the Chairperson to sign. Anderson seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Lease, absent; Darnall, yes; Anderson, yes. Motion carried.
- Clerical Error Report – Kacy Krakow – Krakow told the Board that after further discussions it is deemed not necessary. No action was taken.
- Resolution 24-17 – Darnall moved to table resolution 24-17 until October 15, 2024. Anderson seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Lease, absent; Darnall, yes; Anderson, yes. Motion carried.

Anderson moved to adjourn the meeting. Darnall seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Lease, absent; Darnall, yes; Anderson, yes. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:52 A.M.
A full agenda of the matters to be considered at such date and time is kept continually current. This is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Banner County Clerk in the courthouse in Harrisburg.
