The County Assessor is an elected official who has the duty to value all real and personal property in the county as a basis for the county board to levy taxes. The assessor must be certified by the Department of Property Assessment & Taxation in order to hold office and must obtain continuing education hours to be recertified.
The goal of this office is to provide service to the landowners and residents of Banner County as well as the general public who request information.
Important Deadlines
Personal Property filing deadline: May 1, 2024
A penalty may be assessed after this date.
Homestead Exemption filing deadline: June 30, 2024
Property Valuation Protest filing deadline: June 30, 2024
Improvement Information Statement filing deadline: December 31, 2023
All construction, repair, alteration, or improvement of $2500 or more shall be filed by December 31 of the year of construction.
